Mark is one of the leadership team members at Wilson & Cofield, with over 40 years of experience as both an employee and owner of the company. Throughout his extensive career at Wilson & Cofield, Mark has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth, fostering long-term client partnerships, and guiding operational improvements. With a strong background in investment and advisory roles, Cary serves as an investor, board member, and advisor to HVAC, fire, and electrical companies, leveraging extensive industry knowledge to support growth and profitability. Prior to joining Wilson & Cofield, he held leadership positions at notable firms, including Lakeside Capital Management, Oak City Capital, Triangle Capital, Truist Bank (BB&T Asset Management), and Trident Securities.

Cary holds a BSBA from Appalachian State University, an MBA from Duke University, and is a CFA Charterholder, further solidifying his expertise in finance and business strategy. With a track record of success in both operational and financial management, Cary plays a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term vision and achieving sustainable growth.

James is one of the leadership team members at Wilson & Cofield, where he focuses on estimating, project management, and operations. With extensive experience in managing and overseeing a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, James is instrumental in ensuring projects are accurately estimated, efficiently executed, and delivered on time and within budget. In his role, James leverages a deep understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of project management to lead teams and streamline processes. His expertise spans multiple sectors, allowing him to adapt to various project requirements and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

James holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, providing a solid technical foundation to complement his extensive project management experience. With a track record of success in large-scale projects, James plays a key role in driving the company’s operational excellence and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Sara oversees the financial department at Wilson & Cofield, managing accounts receivables, payables, reconciliations, project billings, and client relations, while also handling office management responsibilities. With years of experience in finance and project management, she has a strong background in both residential and commercial construction. Previously serving as a controller for 13 years, Sara managed all aspects of finances, including sales and contract pricing within CRM software. She has extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in ground-up builds for general contractors, with a focus on hospitality and religious buildings. Her expertise includes project management, contract negotiations, bid acquisition, and managing monthly pay applications.

This blend of financial oversight and project management skills enables Sara to drive efficiency and support the company’s goals, ensuring that financial operations align with project timelines and client needs. Her diverse skill set and experience make her a vital part of the Wilson & Cofield team, contributing to both financial stability and project success across a range of sectors.

Skylar is essential to Operations at Wilson & Cofield, focusing on safety and development, social media strategies, branding efforts, and managing web design. In addition to her work in Operations, Skylar supports financial accounting and assists in building and maintaining client relations.

With over 7 years of experience in the summer camp and retreat center industry, Skylar brings a strong background in marketing and customer relationship management. Her expertise in crafting compelling marketing strategies and managing client communications has contributed to building lasting relationships and driving engagement. Skylar holds a BS in Psychology from Liberty University, as well as both an MA and MFA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University. This unique combination of academic credentials and creative experience allows her to bring a fresh perspective to her work, blending analytical thinking with a passion for storytelling and design. Her diverse skill set and creative approach makes Skylar an invaluable member of the Wilson & Cofield team, helping to shape the company’s marketing strategies and foster meaningful connections with clients and partners.

Ethan is an estimator at Wilson & Cofield that brings over 8 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work. He is a skilled electrician with an expansive array of experience from working with IBEW and Helix Electric that includes lighting, switch gear, panel setups, fire alarms, and underground wiring. In addition to his technical expertise, Ethan also worked as an electrical estimator for Morris Electric Inc. that involved bidding on water treatment plants, lift stations, and commercial projects.

With his certification as an Electrician Apprentice and his diverse skill set in schematics, blueprint reading, electrical wiring, and construction management, Ethan is invaluable to the Wilson & Cofield team.

Nathan is an estimator at Wilson & Cofield that brings over 7 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work. He holds an AS in STEM from Frederick Community College and has extensive knowledge in Computer Engineering. With a strong background as an experienced industrial and commercial electrical field engineer, he has worked on projects ranging from wastewater treatment to airport installations, assisting with the management of projects up to $33M.

With his certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management and proficiency with electrical design, Nathan is a key player for Wilson & Cofield’s estimating team.
