On Friday, 7 March 2025, we lost Ricardo Baez, a beloved employee and great man of noble, honest, and trustworthy character. We lost someone who embodied integrity in its purest form. In his honor, we at Wilson & Cofield created The Compass Award to recognize an employee each quarter that exemplifies all that Ricardo stood for.

Compasses are ancient symbols for direction and moral guidance. With their needles pointing north, they are reliable guides through life’s journey. Compasses remind individuals to stay true to their moral compass, navigating through life with integrity and ethical consideration. They represent all that Ricardo brought to our team.

For our inaugural Compass Award, we presented it to our foreman Wyatt Lavoie. Wyatt started with Wilson & Cofield in July 2024. Since the beginning, Wyatt has displayed an enthusiastic attitude and a determined spirit for every job. He is always willing to jump in wherever he can and sees every job through to completion. He is a great asset to help fellow team members whether through explanation or being an extra set of hands. We are so pleased to recognize Wyatt Lavoie for The Compass Award for the second quarter of 2025.
